Directions to Heartwood
Heartwood is located in the grounds of Bowden House TQ9 7PW ~ an ancient manor house, a mile from the quirky town centre of Totnes, Devon. From Totnes, take the A381 towards Kingsbridge. As you approach the brow of the hill, turn left into the lane signposted Ashprington and Cornworthy. Keep on the lane, which bears sharply left, and after almost half a mile you pass Bowden Pillars Farm on the left. Carry on past the first Bowden House entrance to the second one. Park at the bottom of the marked car park, not in front of the house. Walk towards and past the big house and the stone arch, then down the path alongside the conservatories of the pinkish coloured houses. Heartwood is in the centre corner of this L-shaped enclave of houses. Go right to the end of the path, through the metal garden arch and ring the bell.
You’ll need a torch if it might be dark by the end of your session.
